This course has been designed to keep practitioners abreast of the ever-changing face of communications data by providing an in-depth exploration of the new and upcoming communication services, network technologies and calling techniques. Current call detail record (CDR) disclosures and formats generated by these newer forms of communication are examined in detail. Instruction is given on Mobile Data Events (GPRS), voice over long-term evolution (VoLTE), voice over Wi-Fi (VoWIFI), Call Obfuscation techniques (spoofing), Device Downloads and over the top (OTT) messaging services. Delegates will explore the meaning and relevance of CDR fields and undertake exercises that offer practical experience of the concepts and techniques required to correctly process (or cleanse) and interpret this data type in order to exploit investigative leads

Accredited by City & Guilds, this course offers an externally recognised qualification.

This course has been developed and is delivered by telecommunication experts with extensive practical experience of the next generation of communications data.
